What to expect during constructionThe development of the two-way bike path around Akau Tangi / Evans Bay between Carlton Gore Road on Oriental Bay and the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) at Greta Point is a major project that will take about two years.
We're making changes for people on foot and on bikesThis section of Evans Bay Parade, between Greta Point and Cobham Drive, requires further work and will likely be developed in the future.
Section 2: Between Aotea Quay overbridge and Tinakori RoadHutt Road separated pathwaysWe have widened and upgraded the shared path between Aotea Quay overbridge and Tinakori Road intersection, to create separate biking and walking paths using the Council-owned road reserve land alongside the old shared path.

The Coutts Street route runs from Te Whiti Street to the shared path under the airport runway. There are two options for this section of road.
